THE ACID MAN

PHIL ROBERTS 1957 (Melbourne)

The Acid Man spreads
Hydrochloric acid,
Dissolving all insight.

The Acid Man comes
Out of a swamp of acid,
Spewing out his death

Dissolving anyone
Who gets within his reach,
The Acid Man destroys.

Dissolving people
Whose remains join his swap.
That's how he gets his food.

A swamp of acid
Is the Acid Man's home,
Provides his sustenance.

Spreading chaos round
The Acid Man loves killing,
His only pleasure.

Like living molasses
The Acid Man leaves his swamp,
Hoping soon to kill.

THE END
