Betrothal

JP. 1948 (United Kingdom)

A Betrothal

If this knot be sealed with heaven’s wax
May troubles lift not your door’s latch
You will always have someone’s hand to hold
When you savour each minute though it were gold
You will drink from a cup overflowing with life
To covet this happiness beyond all strife
You will keep all the secrets you have never been told
Never sleeping on an argument unresolved
May you hold that space in a desolate mind
For the one true love that today you will find
As you share your dreams of what might be
With no need of a Shaman nor yet Parsee
May you live for the one for which you most care
On an Ocean of happiness that you both will share

JP.
