The moment the rain falls
So does my tears
Heavily
And for a brief moment,
I was confused
Of everything
Of the rain
Of the tears
Of me
Of you.

You let me down.
Again.
And again.
And again.
I can’t help it
Yet I’d let you do it.
To me.
Again.

With the sound of the rain,
A rhythm I gain.
At first, vague.
Later, familiar.
And then, nothing.

My heart just stops beating.
For everything.
For the rain.
For the tears.
For me.

And hopefully, for you.
Because
As heavy as the rain drops,
As dreadful as it gets,
I still can hear
My heart,
Painfully,
Beating for you.
