sundays

some kid is crying
real tears cause
he dropped his sidewalk
sundae on the
sidewalk on a
sunday
labor day weekend
in the land of milk
n honeys
land of the free
free to never feel
nothin but
free

chocolate eyes
melt at the site
at the sight of melting
sundays on sidewalks
mommy can i have another
one no son
your sundays are all used
up down on the melting
sidewalk

i sat on
the porch in fall n
conversed with the
chill
after summer
melted all my labor
days away
sundays melting into
chocolate
stains on sidewalks
don't step in any
memories
your eyes might
melt
