Inside The Dome

This dose of fog dims and blurs
Thick, difficult to see through
She likes to think you can't see her
Doesn't want to like to see you
A dose of dim to fog the view
We will see what we will see
Vague muffled voices comfort her
The vagaries of security

Icy fires in occupied homes
Warmed by fog right to the bone
Ease the shivers, never alone
Inside the Dome
Inside the Haunted Dome

Whatever gets you through the night
The foggy day, the black and white
It comes to reason that the light
Becomes the perfect place to hide
In the dome, a medicine chestful
Keeps the mess from getting stressful
Maintains a very highly successful
Attempt at living suicide

Whatever gets you through the day
Dead give to appointed flight
With just the fog to light the way
Dead give living up the fight
Voices whisper, friendly phantoms
Reveal mice in tupperware
Shadowy figures in corners
Reveal a god who isn't there

Icy fires in occupied homes
Warmed by fog right to the bone
Ease the shivers, never alone
Inside the Dome
Inside the Haunted Dome

God says life is a movie
Shadowy figures not really there
Life lies on her cutting room floor
There are no mice in the Tupperware
She settles in for the evening
Nestles in cozy, safe in her room
Pulls the fog up over her
A comforter over a tomb

Icy fires in occupied homes
Warmed by fog right to the bone
Ease the shivers, never alone
Inside the Dome
Inside the Haunted Dome
