Revelations

There's a kosher cat with a tallit
Standing over Nietzsche's grave
Where Leo called Freddy an idiot
And he was right, I'm quite afraid

The Titanic is unsinkable
And so is Molly Brown
But one has hit an iceberg
And the other's going down

Meet me in Jerusalem
We'll have a cuppa tea
While weapons burn for seven years
And revelation sets us free

Walking down a wooded path
Met a poet whose paths were crossed
All roads lead to the end, he said
It's impossible to be lost

I chose, thus, the road of passion
Intrigued by flame, enticed
Met a soul with eyes of fire
Mat a man with a voice of ice

Meet me in Jerusalem
We'll have a cuppa tea
While weapons burn for seven years
And revelation sets us free

That consuming passionate flame
Burned to the core its cold
Ice, also it burnt, yet flames
Refined, shining forth as gold

I stand at the grave of Nietzsche
Of Frost, of Tolstoy, and of my past
On a journey never ending
In Light of love's enduring path

So meet me in Jerusalem
We'll have a cuppa tea
While weapons burn for seven years
And revelation sets us free

And with fresh mint in the teacup
As we emerge there from the storm
Brew it hot, like fire
Brew it cold, like ice
I don't care for tea lukewarm
