To be loved or not to be

You go to the bathroom to shed an ocean
Yet you come out as if you didn’t
Putting a smile on for those around
Yet not telling those around that you are broken
The pieces of when he came were fixed
But once he left, it became broken glass
You tried to put the pieces together like a puzzle
Asking yourself ifs and buts to the decision he made
Wondering why, being told it was for another woman
Questioning your worth, why
Why did someone so drowned in “perfect” cause such a pain
You were so dedicated
Questioning how it had seemed that he had not been broken after
Questioning if he even was in the word, known as love
Was he playing a game of flowers
The one as a little girl, picking petals
Asking yourself does he love me, or does he love me not
And hoping the petal lands on being loved
But never to get that answer, we keep trying
As much as we love them, an answer of no to move on really isn't the answer
You want him, but can't force the love upon him
