Where have you gone?
All I wanted was for you to float like a dream. Yet I only got that familiar agony.
I remember, when we finished, when I mumbled all the way back home, lemating that it all wasn’t Shakespearean enough, bitterly chuckling.
Where was I weeping on your knee.
With one foot in the grave another reluctantly on this earth.
Holding on to you like an anchor.
Like a miracle.
A piece of wood that awaits a nearby shipwreck.
