Not quite human beings
Known as the almost-people.

ALMOST-PEOPLE HIDE (18/05/2021)
Very close to human
The almost-people hide,
In dark alleyways.

THE ALMOST-PEOPLE HOPE (18/05/2021)
Almost-people hope
To take over people's lives,
Then they will be real.

ALMOST-PEOPLE HUNT (18/05/2021)
Almost-people hunt
Through night's dark thoroughfares,
Devouring human's souls.

ALMOST-PEOPLE LUMBER (18/05/2021)
The almost-people
Lumber down dark alleyways,
Jealous of real folk.

ALMOST-WOMEN SEEK (18/05/2021)
Almost-women seek
Men to take as husbands,
Not to be seen again.

THE BUGLER (19/05/2021)
Mournful melody
Enveloping the night,
The Bugler approaches.

THE BUGLER DRAWS NEAR (19/05/2021)
The Bugler draws near
Playing his sweet tune of death,
No-one can resist.

THE BUGLER IS HERE (19/05/2021)
Bugling fills the night
The air frigid with terror,
The Bugler is here.

Living on terror
The Darkling sucks away fear.
Leaving false courage.

The Darkling visits
People when they're sleeping,
To slip inside their dreams.

The dark prince draws near
From the dire underworld,
Where nothing good resides.

The drummer brings death
To unwary listeners,
Playing The Last Post.

The Drummer beating
Ends life, hope and reason,
Drums a tune of madness.

The Last Post sounds out
As the drummer brings down death,
To all listeners.

Drumming the death march
The drummer calls death upon,
Those who come to him.

Beating out destruction.

The Last Post coming closer
Killing all who hear.

Wiping out humanity.

Turning deserts to rivers,
The living to ice.

Making ice statues from,
Living human beings.

Beautiful statues
Once live bathing beauties till,
The Iceman passed by.

Fiery death comes
Slaughtering many thousands,
Inferno's best work.

Inferno's in town
Spreading fiery death around,
Tinder dry buildings.

POLAR BEARS ATTACK (19/05/2021)
Polar bears attack
No growling as a warning,
Rapidly they kill.

Shrill whistling rings out
Shattering human eardrums,
Driving you insane.

THE WHISTLER APPROACHES (19/05/2021)
Whistling out a tune
Of death, madness, suicide,
The Whistler approaches.

THE WHISTLER IS NEARING (18/05/2021)
The whistler is nearing
People's brains haemorrhage,
At the noxious sound.

WHISTLING IN THE NIGHT (18/05/2021)
Shrilling in the night
The whistler drives people crazy,
Drives them to suicide.

THE WHISTLER SIGNALS (19/05/2021)
The Whistler signals
Death across this country
Right across the planet.

THE DEMON CHILDREN (III)
The demon children
Sleep in their coffins by day,
Then go out to play.

THE MAN-BOYS WHO NEVER DIE (II)
Evil warriors:
The man-boys who never die;
Nourished by fresh blood.

THE DEMON CHILDREN (II)
The demon children
Sleep in their coffins by day,
Then play in the night.

THE PLAGUE
Plague of evil fiends
Stalking through the moonlit streets,
Killing all they meet.

PLAINTIVE CRIES IN THE NIGHT
Plaintive cries at night
Trapped in a dark crypt,
As coffin lids lift up.

RED-RIMMED EYES PEER
Red-rimmed eyes peering
Through a bedroom window;
Wingbeats wake the sleeper.

THE REPRIMAND
A sharp reprimand:
Teeth touch a jugular, lick,
Nibble...Then sink deep.

RIVERS OF BLOOD
Long, stiletto-like claws
And needle-sharp fangs,
Produce rivers of blood.

SHADOWY FIGURES CREEP
Shadowy figures creep
Around the moonless night,
Evil soon to fall.

Shadowy figures
Creeping through a lonely room,
Where innocents sleep.

SKULKING LIKE A GHOST
Skulking like a ghost
In his crypt by daylight,
Fearing the sun’s warm rays.

SMOULDERING RED EYES
Smouldering red eyes
Follow your every move;
Stalk you in the dark.

THE SOLITARY WATCHER
Solitary watcher
From his private eyrie,
Hungry for fresh blood.

SOMETHING EVIL (I)
Something evil waiting
Lurking in the shadows,
Watching your approach.

THE SPACE VAMPIRES
Vampires from deep space
Spreading like a virus;
Attack the human race.

A STRANGE DIAGNOSIS
Mysterious symptoms:
Lusting after fresh blood:
The vampire disease.

STRANGE ARCHAEOLOGY (II)
Grave robbers stumble
Across corpses that come alive,
Reaching out for them.

A STRANGE, HAUNTED PLACE
A strange, haunted place
Where gaunt-faced creatures feast,
On blood from human prey.

STRANGE SYMPTOMS
Bitten by a bat
Strange symptoms soon develop:
Craving after blood.

THE STREETS RUN RED WITH BLOOD
Streets run red with blood
When a vampire plague sweeps through,
Leaving few alive.

VEILED FACES IN THE NIGHT (I)
Veiled faces in the night
Fearful of the daylight, and
Of the sun’s bright rays.
