Opportunity

Each day is an opportunity met or missed
For a day most do wish

Struggles and strifes were promised from the start
When two make one it's a meal nothings
à la carte

I have been battered and bruised on the heart
It's callus from where to tear

It knows how a special day is manifested
For two to be they must be  tried and tested

It a coarse course to venture while searching for a day-to-day
That's why it's got to be special or it's just okay

Each day is an opportunity met or missed

From ghetto fabulous to military standards with customs and courtesies. The Path taken in life from the United States of America to far and distant lands has indubitably exposed me bare. The adventure has made the person; the man. Born in Illinois, raised in East St. Louis and Royal Lakes, from there the fam hightailed it to California. Dallied in Inglewood then Bompton or Compton, some do say. Signed my name on the dotted line bringing the world into full view. I joined the United States Air Force in 1986, fully retired in 2016, 30 years of honorable service and of making life do what it does so I can do what I do when I do what I do communicating my thoughts or a few. more…
