Oak tree!

GIDRAF MWANGI 1992 (Murang'a)

Tall like the mountain,
Fluffy like sheep wool.
Fat rounded stem,
Leaves a sea of them!

It harbors melodies,
From the morning birds.
It also owns a monkey zoo,
Who make man not interfere.

Oh! The many lianas,
Climbing creeping leaping,
Strutting twisting and loping,
Roping the branches together.

When it sways in the wind,
It swishes and whishes the leaves,
Creaking and breaking twigs,
This way, that way, in the middle!

Back from swish it stands strong.
That is the mighty oak tree!
Sturdy hurdy and toughy,
Conquering the mighty skies!
