Don't Ask Me What I'm Thinking About

Hayden Reis 2002 (Atlanta, Georgia)

You ask me what I’m thinking about.
And I’ll tell you everything without a doubt.
but I wouldn’t trust my brain’s nobilities.
because of the rather endless possibilities.

You ask me what I’m thinking about
And there are so many things that could be filtering in and out.
To the numerous and useless facts about Harry Potter.
or to the never ending question about which Marvel character is hotter.

Some of the things I think about just bring me such delight.
Like in Twilight, how Edward sparkled in the sunlight.
Or that goosebump inducing avengers assemble scene from Endgame.
Or just how powerful of a woman Taylor Swift became.

You ask what I’m thinking about, today.
and most of the time it will be Timothee Chalamet.
And don’t even get me started on Harry Styles.
Because that conversation might take a while.

You ask me what I’m thinking about.
And you would probably be kind of freaked out.
because if I were to be honest and told you my tally.
Of how many times a day I still think about the WandaVision finale.

Some of the things I think about just make me so mad.
Like why did Anakin Skywalker just have to turn bad.
Or about how much Fred Weasley’s death makes me sob.
Like why was Voldemort such a snob.

You ask me what I’m thinking about and I guarantee.
That some brain power is still thinking about Stranger Things, season 3.
While you're over there wondering about the weather.
I’m still recovering from chief hopper’s letter.

Some of the things I think about aren’t even possible.
Like if I had to compete in the Hunger Games, I’d be unstoppable.
or if any of you got hurt and happened to be in agony.
I’d be able to help, thanks to all 17 seasons of Grey’s anatomy.

So please don’t ask me what I’m thinking about.
Because If so, I probably will pass out.
Because for you it’s just a question.
But for me, well I just advise you to take viewer discretion.
