The path of yesterday

if I could walk down the vivid path of youth again, if I could drink the crystal waters of the brilliant fountain. If I could experience the sweet taste of new grapes, if my tears could mingle with the soft gentle rain, that falls and falls, while my past calls and calls.  If I could walk down the path of innocence again, and drink from the fountain.  Just one more chance, I would catch that elusive dove, I would chase the passing rainbow, how elusive it all is, and bliss never lasts. If I could of known that the vibrant path of youth grows dim and gray so fast. All the colors fade into each other, and the path of youth ends, it all ends, it all disappears into the passing clouds, I'm left with just faded memories, and faded photographs that don't seem real anymore, just a moment in time,  just like fine wine. If I could walk down the path of yesterday, I would want to know, I would of never let it go. Fine wine all comes to an end at the grapevine.
