Among unwary mourners,
Sporting black attire.

To the aid of warriors,
Fallen in battle.

Beautiful maidens
Riding upon winged-chargers,
To claim dead heroes.
VAST, HIDEOUS MONSTERS
Hideous monsters
Too vast to contemplate,
Crushing all before them.
THE VOICE OF THE NIGHT (I)
The voice of the night:
The song of the siren,
Calling you to your doom.
WAVES OF FEAR
Waves of fear washing
Through your heart and soul as
The dark night awakens.
A WEB OF DEATH
Segmented monsters
Like vast, unearthly spiders,
Weave a web of death.
WAILING IN THE NIGHT (I)
Dreadful wailing sounds
Ringing out into the night;
Lost souls in torment.
WAKE IN FRIGHT
Evil, slender fingers
Gouging at your eyeballs,
Waking you in fright.

Shadowy figures
Flitting just out of your reach,
Warning signs of death.
WARNING SIGNS OF PERIL
Warning signs of peril
Danger lurking nearby,
Readying to pounce.
WARNINGS OF DANGER

Omens of death approaching,
Evil on the wind.
THE WASTELANDS (21/03/2009)
Death stalks the wastelands
An icy, frozen nowhere,
Nothing lives here now.
THE WAY OUT (21/03/2009)
Heavy hearts heaving
As evil surrounds us all,
Is there no way out?
A WEREWOLF AMONG US (I)
Mournful howling comes
From an upstairs bedroom:
A werewolf among us.
THE WEREWOLF CURSE
When the werewolf curse
Takes you, you howl at the moon;
Loping on all fours.
WEREWOLVES HUNTING
Werewolves run unseen;
Thunder through the dark town, hunting
Through streets and alleys.
A WEREWOLF KNOCKING
A werewolf knocking
on the door to your room,
At least in your dreams.
WHAT NIGHTMARES COME
Chitinous horrors
Covered in horns and spines,
Like giant arachnids.
WHEN SLEEPING DEMONS WAKE
When demons wake
Night creatures hide, while humans
Sleep blissfully on.
WHIRLING, PHANTOM IMAGES
Whirling, phantom images
Float around your bed,
Waking you to terror.

Ready to leap at you,
Springing for your throat.

Searching for live prey.

Soaring through the dark night sky,
Searching for live prey.
WISPY FIGURES

Near the corner of your eye.
WISPY SHADOWS (21/03/2009)
Wispy shadows move
Swaying side to side in glee,
Evil all about.
THE WOLFMAN
The wolfman sleeps near
In the room next door to yours,
Rising at full moon.
YELLOW EYES (15/03/2009)
Shining jet black eyes,
With piercing, yellow pupils,
And no whites at all.
YOUR NIGHTMARES AWAIT
Something is watching
Hidden from view by the night,
Your nightmares await.

You wake to find evil,
Committed in your name.

Your dark half wakens,
Committing untold evil.
DEATH DREAMS (II)
Death fills all your dreams
Terror your waking moments;
Fear your only friend.

outside your window, at night,
With eyes blank from death.

There once had been animals;
Spinifex blows past.

From a desert of darkness,
Warn death lurks nearby.

Chews lightly on your shoulder,
Hoping you’ll waken.

Dungeon-like cellars
In dusty old buildings,
Housing unspeakable horrors.
