Change in the Weather
Lene' Mumaugh 1961 (Billings, Montana)
The remains of summer fall
Quietly to the ground
The air carries a chill
The wind, a whirling sound
The crunching of leaves
Painted red and gold
Are blessed with a soft blanket
Trees brave the winter cold.
As the snow-melt runs to the rivers
A familiar sound is heard
Announcing a change in the weather
The chirp of the ever famous Robin bird
