4:30pm

4:30PM  ©2015-? Laina S

It's 4:30PM and I can't stop thinking of you
Or wondering if you miss me as I miss you.
I miss the feel of your lips and the feel of your hand,
The sound of your voice and everything we had planned.

I've searched the whole house,
But there's nothing left of you.
Not a single thing and that leaves me confused,
You've upped and left without a clue.

It's 4:30PM and I wonder if this is it,
The two halves of a whole that never fit.
You were right when you said it was time to quit,
Though I never counted on how fast you'd split.

The house feels empty and so do I,
I wonder if it's worth it to even try.
To find the one who makes your heart race,
The one you'll want to share your space.

It's 4:30PM and I'm just realizing now,
That there's other fish in the sea.
I know that I should allow,
Myself to find someone else.
