Statistically Speaking

Lawrence S. Pertillar 1947 (Connecticut)

Few would willingly volunteer,
To consciously become...
Victimized by an experiment.
That treats a disease,
They do not suffer from.
Yet wanted to prove to others,
Their bravery.
With it to hope,
This experience will leave them...
Free from aches and pains,
For the rest of their lives.
Lieing about something new,
Prescribed.
By a recommended doctor...
Who to them guarantees,
Whatever it is they may feel...
Can only be attributed,
To an overactive imagination!

'Doctor?
What should I do?'

'Well...
Don't stop lieing to yourself.'

'Huh? What?'

'Statistically speaking, of course.

'WHAT!?'

'Comeon!
Don't be so serious.
I'm joking!
