The Dark Year

The year we all thought was gonna be pretty great
But ended up being like a grave with unknown fate
With Covid-19 the days feel as though torn apart
We just want the year to restart
The days feel long as they drag on
This mess of a world we continue to live upon
Most of the time we just want it to end
But now a mask is the new trend
Your old life is something you want back
Now you want what you'll forever lack
I see the moments of despair
As I step outside to breath new air
The whole world is thrown into crises
As we work together to fight the virus
We hear the cries of those in pain
We work hard but with very little gain
We wish to change the past
But our world of trouble is too vast
The whole situation makes us mad
But the way we go about it is just plain sad
