To live

GIDRAF MWANGI 1992 (Murang'a)

Now that my 22nd year is nigh
I have made a solemn vow
To sail from the safe harbor
And test the choppy seas afar

To dare all those I hid from
Under the veil of younghood
To embrace the pressures from
Whom a mature man is molded

To enjoy the life that I have
Each day at a time
Savoring the hours trove
Treasuring the second pass time

To bathe in the wisdom of living
In complete daytight compartments
To cultivate a purpose of living
So as to live with a purpose

To live!
