Noose of boredom

A decrepit creature
Slumped on the hard chair
Gazing and staring
At a vacant space

Lost in reverie of thoughts
Holding his chin up
With rough hands
A picture of gloom

As the teacher drones on
He goes on furrowing brows
Staring at nothing
Lost somewhere in illusion

Eyes static and unwavering
Hard cold staring balls
Looking as though facing death
On the noose of boredom

Then from the far horizons
Miles away from dreamland
A voice calls me back to earth
“Give us the answer please!!!”
