A memory verse!
GIDRAF MWANGI 1992 (Murang'a)
Glorious are those old days
Mostly Sunday school days
Gazing at vacant seats
Mumbling a memory verse
Throughout the whole week
I would read the bible for Sunday’s sake
That I might have a verse to talk
Including having my name the teacher to tick
Great is when I would say a chapter
Saying it smoothly without a stutter
Gradually breaking it down to the end fair
Sheepishly smiling at the claps in the air
Oh! The sharp memory bestowed
The knowledge twas abound
Only God knew coz giving me He did
Thus I grew up wise and bold in God’s word
Great be Him!
