A Braggart

He comes from the deeps of Wanga land
His name can testify to that
He came donning his old school uniform
Hazy with stinking poverty

The days, he pushed by
Thrusting his life to existence
Through lucky means he makes contact
Thumping on a rich man’s son’s pocket

Life for him aimed a different goal
Lapping the throw away coins of contact
Leaping through the days like a bodyguard
Lastly gaining the recognition aimed

Now he eats with a spoon
Not caring where they cometh from
Not caring the toil of boy’s parents
Nearly forgetting the cause of recognition

Now that he has sugarcane to suck
No one can tell him anything
Non-stop he brags of the money he has
Not caring the source could run dry

The haughty!
