Identity

Identity

Growing up I was taught unity, how to be on one accord.
Somehow my ship felt lonely when some family didn’t board.
The further I sailed the waters, the more salt splashed my back.
However with wisdom strength followed realizing really what I lacked.

It wasn’t uniform ways or solidarity it was the truth of myself the real
make-up of me.
As I traveled back to shore my feet had touched dry land. No longer comforted
By familiar face but variations of the sand. I didn’t want the weight of
Of being foolish on my hand. I unstiffened my neck, swallowed my pride and followed Abba’s command.

I know time is of essence so when I felt my patience wearing thin
The Morningstar carried me from conflict to retreat towards peace within.
The excitement of discovery is often bitter sweet. Along this tedious journey I’ve learned to cherish when kindred spirits meet. I have found my tribe and where I thrive in potentiality.  My most remarkable account of existence has been in arriving  to my spiritual Identity.
