Stay The Course

John Lewis 1948 (Palm Coast FL)

“Stay The Course”
The promise of peace abandons me and fades dimly into the abyss. But in a moment of pause, I take up the cause to conquer hopelessness.
Cries of anguish and discouragement beckons me  from isles of broken dreams. My heart, my head are  focused  straight ahead to glories yet unseen.
In times of despair when no one’s there and no one’s hand to hold, I make no bones to stand alone undaunted, steadfast and bold.
Amidst a maze of discouraging conclaves of this dysfunctional conflicting realm, I will stay the course with no remorse steady at the helm.
