Analysis of `Free as a bird?`

When I was a youngster with very few cares, I used to daydream that I could fly,
up in the blue, soaring amongst cotton wool clouds ,landing on steeples so high,
this carefree existence and the ultimate  freedom to travel anywhere  surely brings
so much contentment-just gliding on thermals all day-“Oh, I wished I had wings!”
but then there`s the downside-life is not all spent in the air -ever cautious you must be-
the animal world(like the human one)is fraught- a wily old tom cat might have you for tea!

So, let’s look on the positive side-no petrol, insurances ,repair fees or road tax due,
no claim fees if you, in mid flight, bump into another blissfully gliding, just .like you,
no re-lining brakes, no runway fees as you take off with your undercarriage down,
no oil changes, no special preening for a trip `window shopping` in your local town!

`Oh, I wished I had wings`-to fly away from some of the horrid cares of this world,
if  I had, new horizons would beckon and a different  perspective would have unfurled.
