Analysis of John

Nina R. Schapiro 1954 (TEXAS)

When there was sorrow
you were just there
You said tomorrow
and it was here
You never let me stay
trapped in a yesterday
you were just here

I have no word to use
to say goodbye to you
I watched you pay your dues
and never thought it thru
and now I know you're gone
now something's very wrong
you were just there
