Analysis of ~ Under The Sun ~

This fresh, crisp, summers morn
I walk out to my garden to watch it grow
The wooden path is withred and worn
All the tulips standing tall and planted in a row

The scents from my yard has a pleasing aroma
A soft breeze takes it across the land
Sweet, sweet, begonias
They are delicate and picked by hand

Hues of lavender and blues mixed with pink petals
So tender, and soft, with thin stems of deep green
I place them in a large copper kettle
The light of the sun bounces off with a sheen

The birdhouse is full this year, I can hear the babies cry
These finches come only once a year
I can see the mother, in and out she goes, with such pride
Once in a while inside I peer

In the shades of my garden under the pine trees
Their are benches to watch the deer
They roam through the fields for wild flowers to feed
I notice the buck seems to lead without any fear

My views are magnificent from my yard
The beauty of my garden surrounds me
One things for sure I don't have to look far
The pleasure's all mine, all from a handful of seeds

Yvonne Sensing

I've been writing since I was a kid...I enjoy putting thoughts onto paper it's like clearing out my mind. I'm not saying I'm good, but I try. Still I write, but the thoughts in my head get jumbled and it all comes out wrong. I know what I want to say, I hope it comes out that way. Anyway, I still write maybe to leave a little piece of me behind. Not here to cause trouble or be a hero. I am a kind person with a big heart and I only do what makes me feel good. Poetry happens to make me very happy and joyful. Sharing my most inner thoughts makes me a target it seems, with folks that don't like me. I assure I am not a hater, but I will stand up for myself for what's right and true. This site has made me feel like were all family and here for each other not a place to bicker and fight among us, but to enjoy each others work with respect and love. Please understand I am not here to cause problems, I am here for the same reasons you are. more…
