Analysis of Wishful Thinking
As I stare at a cold bright screen
My mind drifts away and I picture a scene
Of a place where money and greed don't rule the world
Where creativity and emotion fill the skies after being concisely swirled
Where people don't work to live, or hate what they do
Instead, they follow their dreams and every wish comes true
As I drift back to reality, my heart sinks low
I'm still stuck in this office for another 40 years or so.
My breath tastes of coffee and my smile is fake
I've had so much caffeine that my hands are beginning to shake
I'm sick of this job, I'm sick of this place
I want to pass through the doors like I'm running a race
Never to return to this cold, empty barricade
Off to a land where creativity and emotion bloom and never fade.
