Analysis of Vulnerable
Gave myself to you;
When I opened my heart.
Vulnerable and flawed;
I felt you apart.
You played my love like a burning symphony;
Never to see you again,
Was that our destiny?
Dwelling on your pain,
which came from another;
You couldn't stay to love me,
I was happy to be sober.
And, even after I caught you playing your role;
I put it behind us, because I was whole.
But just as whole, as I thought you made me;
In less than a second, your love couldn't save me.
I grabbed the bottle, and served me a drink;
With tears in my eyes, I started to think.
Was it really you?
Or was it really me?
Because I'm still here for you; See?
But, you're no longer near,
So this poem you won't hear.
And, maybe that's a good thing.
If you couldn't love me on my worst,
you dont deserve me on my best.
I took the dagger out; It's bleeding;
Another scar left on my chest.
