Analysis of The Gift
Whereas today my sight was blurred,
Tomorrow,
As I gaze through clear windows,
I will see my own face in the darkness.
Yours will not be there.
Instead,
As I gaze through the darkening glass,
I will see only my own image reflected.
As it should have been from the first.
