Analysis of The Buzz

Chris Pearson 1977 (Winnipeg)

Thought curls along neuron coil
Thrall to the wire of self-excited circuit
Current is path of perception flash
Energy is power is burn is light
Sparks in the mind to move at night
Bestowal of motion is exchange
Give and take and shuffle
Potential to charge to meet to fight
To resolve to balance to agree to keep
To lose to gain to share the same
Nothing ventured is nothing gained
Wind whirring thought in orbit strands
Halo motion noose and knot to tie
And pull hard the bindings tight
Choke strangle release and spin
Bruises spill purple the blue and red
Lack of oxygen starves the head
Anything is better than being dead
Let it be to feel to hurt to cut to bleed
To surrender to sleep to dream to feed
To see to taste to let it go to waste
Swirl and tease and please and hate
Dance and cry and drink and spit
Hold and kiss and love every bit
This and that and everything
I is you is we is them is us
Air is life is in-between
Earth is ash is dust is must
Where one plus two is three
Which one of you is me?
