Analysis of Subject to Criticism (nobody's perfect)

i've seen the best put to the test.
right up in front of all the rest.
i've seen em bleeding from thir souls.
reaching just to get a grip on the controls.

some of us fly right through this world.
on red carpets their servants unfurled.
to never know an ounce of strife.
yeah, boy i'll tell ya, thats the life.

heart sunk derilect, down and out, in the gutter drunk.
born to lose, singin the blues, lost in a funk.
angels above keep vigil watch at the ready.
for those whove lost their nerve and just can't get steady.

here we are looking for a point of view.
we try so hard to be the one to find the clue.
undoing the past and all of it's ties.
open your eyes, we're not so wise, who are we to criticize.

yeah, he rounded first head on to slide on out.
he gave it shot, who's to say what it's about.
color man gave opinion, said he was a fool.
from my self rightous veiw, that was'nt very cool.
