Analysis of She Demon

Free Verse (5,7,5)
She Demon
Now she comes for me
in the darkness of midnight
when all evil dwells

Wicket by nature
risen by Satan himself
sitting next to Him

In the pits of hell
from the bowels of the earth
covered in red blood

From a graceless walk
to a eerie creep of limbs
the she demon comes

Pounding on the walls
screeching, ever so screeching
echoing throughout

Dauntingly searching
for the freshness of new guts
in the stealth of night

From under my bed
hidden Within my closets
where shall she appear

Oh, my fear, my fear
takes over in the darkness
In the throngs of fright

Amidst the blackness
she scratches with shearing claws
upon the dark halls

My thoughts are to run
yet there is nowhere to go
from under her haunts

I shall face her now
with my bible in left hand
and cross in right hand

From scripter readings
I shall send her back to hell
spiralling in flames

Beneath the soils core
never to return again
In a night of dark

Norman Wilson

IntroductionForgotten are the times the tick of a clock once chimed sobering sounds that caressed my hearts nightly dreams. As I awaken to the touch of light that burns upon a candles wick flickering my words for all to see. This drives my thoughts through the darkest of nights of loneliness that renders my quill upon parchment with ink that dances to minds and souls. Now I hear the screeching of my heart when the blue horizon covers the orb of emptiness.Within the shelter of my mind with little, purpose other than my words that keep me sane. These are my new poems I have written in the quiet of my night, forever wished away in a writer’s pain. As I strive to write that perfect poem that, my soul desperately seeks. Then and only then can my words rest upon a sleep. more…
