Analysis of Rendezvous for One
There is a difference, let it be known.
'tween being lonely and being alone.
If you have ever been loved by another
Lonely's the missing, the abandoned must suffer.
Alone is a break. A moment we take.
A rendezvous, with but one.
Lonely is hollow, too much to swallow
A tryst together with none.
A day that is empty, empty by choosing
Is different from one that lacks impromptu schmoozing.
If you have flirted, been dumped and deserted ...
Pocket reflection, cheer up and rejoice!
There's the option to which you have choice.
If you're alone, take it in stride
One may be better than two.
If you are lonely, humble your pride
And to your loved one, get through.
