Analysis of On My Own
I found a note
of ours today.
Scribbled in pencil and pen,
we wrote
dreams and hopes,
fears and pain.
That all feels so long ago.
Today I hold my tears
though they want to fall,
I feel so alone,
so hurt, so abandoned,
and people ask me what to do,
they look to me for guidance.
I don’t know what to say.
Out of the ashes,
new life will come,
I look to the sky
for divine inspiration.
That is what keeps
me going now.
Forever there I will stay.
