Analysis of Love of Music (Part 1: Death By Silence/Part 2: Reincarnation)
Love of Music Part 1: Death by Silence
As I gaze at my shattered and disfigured reflection
My cold, sunken eyes give off a gray expression.
If there was a way to look past this sorrow
I would: except life just seems incredibly hollow.
Perhaps you should take this into consideration:
There is nothing more chilling than a silent reverberation.
Time is slipping away, what must I do?
Something was missing from this empty world, I knew.
Where did the good times and harmony go?
Like withered autumn leaves, far away they blow.
Oh, what I would give just to hear one last tune
I wondered in despair as I stared into the silhouette moon.
That music that once played in my glorious heart
Perished within obscurity; it is longing for a new start.
A score of men lifted their heads to the silence above
And uttered a screaming whisper what they were dreaming of.
For no one heard their cry, and the world was quelled from noise.
I attempted to hum, but could not; for there is no other joy.
Nothing can replace what splendor was taken away.
Nothing is better than the sweet music that used to play.
Love of Music Part 2: Reincarnation
Like awakening from a nightmare the sorrow was torn
Just as the day that beautiful music was reborn.
The streets which were once a dreary shade of gray
Were struck with life; music was here to stay.
Instead of the monotonous gloom all around
Instruments played and worldwide relief was found.
People assembled with kin and sang in tears of bliss.
They knew that the silence that once lasted they will never miss.
No matter what, lift your lungs and sing with all your might.
I know I will, because music is my love at first sight.
