Analysis of Lost Voices
There is not a day
goes by,
that I yearn to hear
your dulcet tone.
I can only remember
the last time,
that I saw you.
Blood is thicker than water
and a lot of water has flowed
under the bridge.
If only you would make
contact,
just push the numbers on
the phone.
I am here to answer your call.
It would be the most wonderful
moment, to hear your voice
and bring about a peace.
My mind is in torment,
at having lost you
and a part of me,
would be given a new
lease.
I do not know why I do not
hear from you or where you
are.
It is like you are from me,
worlds apart and I do not exist,
in that, I am too far.
I am but a stones throw away,
reaching out with an olive branch,
for you to take hold,
with the message and love for you,
to accept.
If only you would,
one day.
For you both, I have love
and feeling.
I wish to be part of your
life once again,
not to be forgotten or written
off.
The process of time has the
power of wounds, that were,
now to be of great healing.
Time has passed and marches
on.
Time is not on our side.
The nano seconds, seconds,
minutes, hours, days, months
and the years,
not least the seasons,
that I do not hear or
see you, have indeed,
been far too long.
I cannot emphasize enough,
how I miss you.
I long for the day,
that I will, with open arms,
welcome you into my fold,
to be part of one great family,
to hug and to hold.
My door has never been shut
against you.
For you to present, at my door,
it shall open wide,
with a warmth of invite,
without appointment,
for you to take that step
and stride.
At this time,
there is a sense of loss to bear.
Loss in not seeing you,
loss of your love and
whether I will ever see or
hear from you again.
If I do, it may be too late
and then, the question is,
from where ?
