Analysis of if by chance

If by chance

life is not impervious to fate
A reckless driver swerving
Around the bend drunk
On its own power, it's divinity
Happenstance, who could argue?
After all, it is nature that binds us
To it hip telling us that this is
The way of the world
Work within the confines of
Science and what we are
And not what we wish to be….
