Analysis of I'm Right Here Pt. 4

This isn't really a poem, more like a short story.

We pull up to Justin's house. I'm excited to see my boyfriend, again. I just hope he can see me. The detective knocks on the door and waits a minute. No one comes to the door, so he knocks again. "Well I guess no one's home." Detective Brooke says. As we walk down there stairs, I'm wondering where Justin is. Then, hear a large bang. The detectives automatically ran back to the door and pounded on it until someone came to answer.

Finally, his roommate, Travis, came to open the door. Detective Moore asked why he didn't open the door before, and he said it was because he was asleep. "How do you explain the loud bang?" asked Detective Moore.
"I fell off my bed." Travis answered with e grin. I could tell he was lying. Something is going on. Where is Justin? Why isn't he home?

The detectives finished asking Travis questions. Travis told them Justin went out of town Monday and hasn't returned home, which was a lie. I was with him yesterday and he hasn't left the town in months. Why is Travis lying for Justin? What is he trying to cover up? More importantly, why can't I remember anything?
