Analysis of I see a generation

I see a generation….

I see a generation

Along the roads, in the parks

On the roof, inside the mosque

In their personal rooms even in baths

I often see them alone and in band

Who speak and chat all the time

On their cell phones….

Infringing all the timetables

Of meals and studies

Away from the factual world

They have created their own paradise

Instead of grasping the beauties

Of surroundings, they listen the requiem

Ignoring the songs of other birds

They are feasting on apple tree

Having antidote in hands they are carefree

Anjam Abbas

A poet seems to be a humble, cool and careless creature apparently as he speaks a little, argues a little, quarrels a little and even debates a little. He keeps his self made shell in which he resides from where he does not like to step out the threshold physically but he wears a sharp nerves, perception and deep delved outlook. Confining himself within his gloomy closet, he has had a vast stance and deep rooted awareness of the universe and its inhabitants. With his sharp and agile sensitivity, he has a power of creeping into the bosom of things and portrays the mysteries with the ink of captivating words and brush of imagination. I composed my first poem at the age of 14. i am a student of P.Hd in English Literature. more…
