Analysis of Heaven and Hell

Heaven and Hell

The nouns that are Heaven and Hell are probably just fables
Lies that were passed down from our ancestor's dinner table
The 2 places that aren't exceptional for no man
It is nothing more than a scared straight program
I am not questioning God, nor what he/she has done
But how do we know that there is a lavish place that we all go to have fun
Where we toast to the most, after we all have met our goals
Finally meet and enjoy the presence of the past souls
Be good or you will go to Hell
Your soul you must not sell
But who do we know has went and returned to tell the tale

The so called Pearly Gates must be God's bodyguard
In my dreams I tried to enter and find out was it a fraud
A long line of people through red velvet ropes
Names for entrance being checked by a member of the Pope
St. Peter said "Nope
Your name doesn't appear to be on the list"
Then he pointed away for me to disappear in the mist
No one there can determine my mind's velocity
I wanted to get in to satisfy my curiousity
I ain't no goodie to-shoes but I am me
Nor I am trouble maker
But if I had went to Hell I probably would have ended up in V.I.P.
"We have reserved your seat Mr. Martin
Will you be bringing any guest?"
There I would have found mutiple women waiting to have lusty sex
"Will there be alcohol for the minor?
The owner will arrive shortly, here let me set the timer"
The host is too nice, they all honor their so called king
Lucier is married to all of this madness but always forgets to wear his ring

These are the stereotypes
That we all would like
To see come true
When I pass I would like to find out for myself, when I have paid all my dues

Tylee Martin

This is Tylee and I want to apologize for my egotistic behavior. Everyone on this site is extremely talented and I don't have the right to say that I'm better than anyone. No matter how good you are there is always someone better.A few of you seemed mighty upset because of my over confidence and I have learned from my mistakes. Im still going to write confident poems but Im am going to just watch how I do it.I guess I just wanted to be good like everyone on this site. more…
