Analysis of Eye For Eye
Eye for eye is retribution:
counterstrikes for malicious wrongs.
Retaliating vendettas
perpetuate vengeful fight songs.
Quid pro quo is fair exchanges,
a proportional give-and-take.
Commensurate surrogating
necessitates a true fair shake.
Tit for tat is getting even:
equivalents for each to earn.
Compensatory objectives
extend to points of no return.
Tu quoque is replication:
a retort for the abuser.
It is condemnation's circle:
on each side stands the accuser.
Honorable, balanced justice
remediates a world of harm.
Genuine consideration
generates charitable charm.
