Analysis of Euphemisms And Misnomers

Down the long path of history
behavior remains the same
It may appear more civilized but real change is in the name
Reform has been trivialized, the difference is rules of the game

Evaluate this perspective:
Thievery at sea by pirates
Today they're port entrepreneurs. Souls now converted by prelates
Were once controlled by conquerors. Compare all the similar traits

Examine competitive sports:
Many sanction sheer aggression
In hockey watch the body slam, off-ice it would be transgression
Smashing tackles are just a sham allowed by football's concession

Betrayed by fancy misnomers
with euphemisms we're mislead
Perception becomes truncated, altered reality the dread
Propaganda saturated, twisted values then we are fed
