Analysis of Don't Explain, Don't Complain

There's usually time and money for things that matter most.
Priorities set the scale for what we choose to host.
The places where we travel for our pied-a-terre,
shows personal desire as refuge from our care.
In the whirl of commitments our selections reflect
arenas of consequence to which we give affect.
All items that we fancy and purchases we own,
become merely extensions of who we are full-blown.
People we have included in our circle of friends
display a type of kinship with all that it portends.
Our votes on referenda, party and candidate,
depict our own agendas and values for the slate.
All that we do indicates, like a vivid telltale,
our deepest motivations with history to regale.
No need to make excuses, no reason to explain;
we're the sum of our choices, no reason to complain.
