Analysis of Death
Laying asleep, in the bed, its hard to breath
Away from this pain, a moment, a reprieve
Make the pain stop, just this once, for one moment please
Make the pain cling like the leaves on barren trees
To be released from all this, to finally be free
Take me home to you, oh Lord I pray to Thee
I see my family surround me and weep
I want to wake up, I cant stay asleep
To wipe those tears from such sad eyes
To stop the sighs and the sobbing cries
All of this sadness for me, but I am still here
I cant wake up, I'm scared, full of fear
They are leaving, no, wait, please stay
I heard them say I can go home today
The room is quiet, dark and so still
Wait, here comes someone, and their crying still
I love you too, but goodbyes are not needed
Don't leave me, no, now alone I lay defeated
Someone's here, something else for me to give
Wait, no, don't take away the thing that helps me live
I'm going numb as my breathing slows down
As my heart stops, I feel nothing, except my frown
I'm lighter than air, surrounded by light
I'm floating, higher, to the highest of heights
For I have now passed, and pain is now gone
But I shall be back, once a new day dawns.
