Analysis of Conversation drill with a ghost

Life never exalted in so rich a prize

As God's noblest work in this best is known

In that which laid the accomplished man low

Envious death so triumphed in a blow

Like the sun eclipsed at the middle of the day

Left us bleak and bare without a roof

For a world where tired skeletons live

And a man the image of my father passed

Over ten years dead at every turn appear

Will he be offended and smote me?

Will he change and charge me?

He sat on a dusty marble stone

I sat the next tomb headstone

We spoke in inscrutable silence

About those deploring things;

My childhood, my pains, lingering pains

The weight lacerating his mind

We sobbed in unison

We mourned in a synchronised cry

He told me about his death

And the existence inbetween

I begged to come with him

He said only spirits live there

When he finished his stories

He muttered my name

He transfigured and looked lovely in white

And only providence has left me here
