Analysis of Comes Red October
Now red October, blazing in the sun,
Must end the warm, sweet summer of the heart.
The visit of the birds and blooms is done,
Display their autumn wares before they part.
Now listen, there's a robin that I heard
When May was blushing flowers and the bend
Of leafy branches covered nest and bird
Who sung the summer in and till its end.
Just take a look once more before the night;
See how the hillsides darken from the frost,
How fades the greenery of summer's light.
The beauty only altered, never lost.
And love of life amidst November rain
Will make the summer come again and reign.
