Analysis of Black roses

On waking from my nightmare nap
Black roses wept a bloodstained sap
Scarlet tears dripped from their head
On to the blood soaked flower bed

Each thorn grew long with daggered blade
And spoke of innocence betrayed
There was no sun and clouds it seemed…
Rained down black petals as they screamed

A pitch so high, all heard in hell
Followed by its fiendish smell
Of putrid death and stench of wrath
The petals danced and covered path

Like snow turned evil still it lay
I wondered was it judgement day?
And was I still in nightmare nap?
Could scream just be my sanity snap!

With chill in heart and courage worn
I made my way across the lawn
Black stained my feet as footfalls stray
Across to weeping rose bouquet

I bowed my head and with a kiss
Wished it life and poured it bliss
Wound love and passion around its stem
And prayed the evil would not condemn

To my dismay the thoughtful flower
Cried itself a crimson shower
Shook its pride and sang of peace
Fought evil demons for release

With battle done -I shook awake
The buds of beauty’s sad mistake
I washed the blood and fed it dreams
It opened to heavens vast extremes

And now black rose’s charismatic glow
For love demands -quid pro quo.
Give it thoughts with respect deserved
It gives inspiration when observed
