Its taken years but finally we see,
The dark side its visible to me,
That eclipse picture documented and fine,
Through modern technology it started to shine.

Cameras in space placed in orbit just right,
Plus mathematical calculations created this sight,
Patiently through skill determination and trust,
We can visualise the mountains and dust.

Front and back amazing what's done,
The moon's illuminated direct from the sun,
Imagine the effort the cost and time,
Now for posterity this picture is mine.

Scientists now know what they didn't before,
They can study what they previously never saw,
Mapping the moon its an incredible thing,
There's additional knowledge discovery can bring.

The Universe reveals facts now and then,
Sometimes by act at others by a pen ,
Reality and science both have a role,

Also mans ambition and his ultimate goal.
