Analysis of Dreams of the Fallen Legends
Evan Onwuachu 1986 (Anambra)
The appropriate response has been my inspiration, keeping me alert as the night progressed, keeping me in affection with my enthusiasm, the language of my ancestors.
The appropriate response has been given, motivating with his own words. This response is my purpose behind deciding to be what l am.
This response is the most delightful expression known to my novice ears, I say, as he comforts me.
"To contribute a stanza, To contribute a refrain!" I answer gladly to my most venerated instructor, And as though new sight has been given to me, cleaning my eyes, I make a guarantee to my fallen symbols,
Saying with the anger of fire in my follicles "To contribute a section, and by a kid's adoration, a man's honor, an understudy's regard, and an author's doctrine, I expect to...I must... I shall...I promise..." With new certainty I am a youngster and human,
With new expectation I am apprehensive and bold; an offspring of my progenitors, a man of my assertion, Afraid of disappointment, yet daring on my excursion, An inconceivable excursion that closes at death, For death chooses if my guarantee is ensured, Waking to consider it to be as a clear page, I will indiscriminately discover my approach to eternality,
Not for magnificence, not for honor, Not for acclaim, nor for notoriety, Merely for a guarantee to the past, and an obligation to future, With trust, I stroll toward the obscure, unafraid of the result of my movements, With aims of contributing a stanza, and all the more significantly, getting myself , inside my own words...
